After a very long time I got to see an eclectic film ‘Guzaarish’. It has an infinite depth of thought in it. It surely was a feast to my philosophical senses. The movie reiterated on diverse facts of life.
We can broadly classify people into 2 categories. One set of people are those who live a malcontented living. Always hankering for something that they don’t possess, though they would have been bestowed with everything necessary to lead a happy life. They always find a dodge to vent out all the happiness. They always keep whining about everything. And find something missing in their life. Hence fail to enjoy life to its fullest. Such people not only ruin their happiness but also wreck others living. I don’t understand why people tend to seek glee outside, when thy have a galore of it to left unexcavated within. Material driven happiness requires a cause and reason but the eternal and immaterial happiness is always juvenile and ready to bosom within. Even in the most despairing situation, this happiness within can give one enough zeal and fervor to win the almost lost battle. Such is the potential of this happiness.
The other classes of people are of the alternate extreme. If for some every material pleasure is insufficient, for some this pleasure is supreme. So supreme that it capitalizes their mind thoroughly. . They completely loose their wisdom, humanity and sanity. Such people are perilous as they are in a deranged state of mind. In such a trance, they enjoy doing every evil. Be it ill-treating, misbehaving, and disrespecting, all in all a very malicious demeanor towards humans and animals. They feel at par to the supreme. They fear nobody, and so they end up doing remorseful, resentful sins.
In other terms these people over live their happiness. Not to forget, this happiness in not what sources within, its what they derive from their possessions and obsessions. Such people must be diffused of this toxic and venomous zeal, so that they don’t detonate and harm the world.
Then we have a phase of life, where we see people at the pangs of death. In such people too exists 2 extreme colors.
One set of people who want one more day extension in their life. These people could be the ones who have lived life contentedly or ones who have just led a life for the heck of it and not truly relished living it. When the clock of death ticks the countdown, the vibes one gets is extremely daunting. As one has no clue of what’s in store after life. There comes the fear of all the evil deeds, the guilt of all the resentful actions one has done. Fear of facing the supreme who has discerned all the deeds. In true words they start to get ‘Self Realization’, which one at times cannot acquire after digesting all the holy books.
The other classes of people are those who do not want to live. They detest every moment of their existence. These people could be the under privileged or those who have lost the purpose of living. The under privileged are those who fight with their fate for every breath. Living for them is worse than death. They are not wrong in deducing to such disgraceful conclusions. We can envisage their living, fighting for existence… truly exemplifying the darvin’s theory of survival of the fittest. What’s commendable is that even in such dejected situations they do not give up on their attempts and possess enormous faith in the almighty. The real fighter’s who don’t give up till their last breath. Though they wish for death, they never loose hope on life. Long live their hope and their fighting spirit.
Coming to those people who have lost the purpose of existence. People say there is nothing more to loose after loosing ones self respect, living then would be nothing less than disgustful. If this in one take the other is regarding the life of some people who strive hard to lead a normal living. They are at the mercy of the others. They require physical and moral support to live a basic life. They abhor their living and despise for being an inconvenience to others. Such people pray for death to dawn on them and end all their miseries.
I would like to mention one saying here:
Anything is valuable only in 2 situations of life..
First … Before getting it
Second… After loosing it…
What ones been blessed with has never been appreciated by any living human until he has lost it. Speaking about the form that god has given, to attend to our daily duties independently. The mind&body stability and balance is most essential for living. Nobody thanks god for this. But when this is lost they don’t stop cursing at god for it. Each of us should thank god from the bottom of our heart for having been blessed with this body reined by the mind so as to lead a normal living. We need to respect this body. The detestful feeling one would be through when he cannot attend to one’s own daily activities is enormously painful. They loose on the spices of life. Indeed the spices of life being hope, purpose, faith, motivation and most important inspiration. Such people plead mercy for death.
Concluding this post, I would like to say something about the essence of true living. In all stages of life one needs to be humble. One should never let go sanity and wisdom at any phase in the cycle of life. Never give up on GOD. Even in the most aidless situations one should light a candle of hope at the altar. If we are of the privileged lot, then extend a helping hand towards the underprivileged. If we have boundless joy in our life, then we must go ahead and share some with those who have forgotten to smile. One must never miss a single opportunity of making a difference in somebody’s life. Lets give a attempt to share and reduce some one else’s sorrow as the happiness one feels while doing so is highly exquisite. And we must never live a life of contempt as its worse than death.
What one receives from life is not what matters, what one consecrates to this world in his lifetime matters. For in it lies the true meaning of life.
We need to raise our voice in unity against every injustice and evil. For we cannot wait for a messenger of God to be sent down to bring about a revolution in this world. We ourselves are the saviors sent down by go to save humanity. We never know when life would give up on us, so by then lets pocket some good deeds for ourselves.
The message from the movie…
Life is short…
Break the rules...
Forgive quickly…
Kiss slowly…
Love truly…
Laugh uncontrollably…
And never regret anything that made you smile…
Very beautifully composed lines. The meaning of them is pretty explicit, but the hidden meaning in true sense is very deep and thoughtful.
Yaya yo mayay yo, ya ya mayay yo, ya ya mayay yo, ya ya mayay yo…
